His Excellency Al-Attiyah Launches the 77MTA Task Force
As the State of Qatar moves closer to realizing the Vision of His Highness the Emir, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, for Qatar to reach a liquefied natural gas production capacity of 77 million tonnes per annum, by far the largest LNG capacity in the world, His Excellency Deputy Premier and Minister of Energy & Chairman of Qatar Petroleum, Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah, has announced the formation of a multi-company, multi- discipline 77Mta Task Force charged with marking the achievement of this historic milestone.

20th WPC Launches North American Campaign
A high level delegation from Qatar representing the organizing committee of the 20th World Petroleum Congress (20WPC) was in Calgary, Canada, 8-10 June, to attend the Global Petroleum Show (GPS) and officially present the North American launch of the 20WPC, which will be hosted by Qatar Petroleum in Doha in December 2011.

QP, Shell and Petrochina Sign New EPSA
Qatar Petroleum (QP) on behalf of the Government of the State of Qatar has signed today a new Exploration and Production Sharing Agreement (EPSA) with Shell and PetroChina Company Limited (PetroChina) for Qatar Block D.
