Qatar Petroleum (QP) is committed to the protection of the health and safety of its employees, contractors and members of the public, as well as the protection of its assets and the environment. This commitment is clearly stated in the QP Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policy. However, the objective of doing no harm while conducting business cannot be achieved without the active involvement of Contractors, their employees, and their sub-contractors who carry out a large percentage of the work and are exposed to the associated HSE risks. Therefore QP requires joint ventures and contractors working on behalf of the Corporation to demonstrate a similar commitment to HSE.
All work and activities carried out for and on behalf of QP shall be in compliance with the provisions of the "QP HSE Regulations for contractors" document, HSE requirements specific to the Contract in question, and all other applicable QP HSE related policies, procedures, standards as well as State of Qatar Laws and regulations.
All prospective bidders, bidders participating in any QP tender, as well as QP contractors and sub-contractors are required to take note of the QP HSE Regulations for contractors (dated 25th June 2009) attached here and the latest revisions thereof, and ensure compliance.
